Her eyes twinkled with humor and heat. “Definitely.”

Will bent his head and kissed her. That lush mouth melded to his effortlessly and within seconds he was so damned hot that self-combustion became a genuine fear. His dick strained against his tux, tenting his cummerbund out in the most undignified fashion.

She chuckled against his mouth. “I want you. Right now. What do you say we find a private little grotto and I’ll show you just how much.” She lowered her voice. “Repeatedly.”

“Get a room!” someone shouted, before Will could reply. His brother, no doubt, Will thought, dragging his lips reluctantly from hers. He rested his forehead against hers and they shared a smile. Happiness saturated every pore of his body.

“I take it you’re ready to blow this shindig?” he asked softly. This shindig was costing a fortune, but he didn’t care. He’d rented Sylvia Gardens, had spared absolutely no expense. He only intended to get married once and to that end, he’d made sure that everything had been done right, to Rowan’s specific instructions.

His heart squeezed painfully in his chest as he looked at her now. Just a few months ago, he’d imagined her like this. Long white gown, a garland of flowers in her hair, and here they were, happier than he ever thought they could possibly be.

“I’m ready when you are,” she told him in that too-sultry near-whispering voice. “If you’re sure your mother won’t be hurt that we leave early.”

Will grinned. “She’ll get over it,” he said drolly. In fact, she’d given him another one of those embarrassing talks yesterday, and had informed him in no uncertain terms that a grandchild was expected posthaste. He was now at liberty to forgo the condoms. Did he have any questions? As if he didn’t know how to go about getting his wife pregnant.

Sheesh, Will thought. He thought he could handle that without any damned motherly pearls of wisdom. To that end, he made a mental note to leave his phone at home. He didn’t want any unsolicited advice on how to conduct his honeymoon.

She sighed softly and those gorgeous green eyes tangled with his. Love, joy, and need shimmered in those mesmerizing orbs, causing his chest to inexplicably tighten.

Will laced his fingers through hers, then whistled loudly to garner everyone’s attention. “We’re leaving,” he said without preamble. “Enjoy the party.”

This abrupt announcement was met with laughter and applause. Smiling, they both turned and made their way to Rowan’s car. She’d threatened bodily injury to anyone who touched her baby, so there were no cans tied to the bumper, or a Just Married scrawled in shoe polish across the windshield.

She stopped next to the passenger side and calmly waited for him to open the door, as though this were completely normal and nothing out of the ordinary was happening.

Will stilled, then shot her a questioning look. His heart began to pound, to race. “Rowan?”

She smiled, then turned and winked at her dad, who beamed at them and sent her a quiet thumbs-up. Her gaze slid back to Will, then, and she tossed him the keys. “Second sticks a little,” she said matter-of-factly, “so you might want to baby her.”

Will swallowed, recognizing the gesture for what it was. She trusted him. Fully, completely, without reservation. “Are you sure?” he asked, his throat tight.

She smiled at him and liquid emotion glittered in those gorgeous green eyes. She pulled a light shrug, laughed. “What can I say? I finally found a guy who’s vintage-Vette worthy.” She swallowed. “I love you, Will.”

  Will grinned. “Ditto.”
